I do downhill racing and alot of big hits. I ride a cove shocker. So whats the advantage of the vivid over the dhx? Is there a huge difference?

yeah, it's an awesome shock. compared to the dhx, which fills many categories of riding, the vivid is purely a gravity oriented type of shock. it's got great small bump performance. it stays high in it's travel, but still feels great on the bigger hits. i see you're really interested in the shock considering how many people you copied that message to...

thanks for liking the bike. but keep in mind mine is an '04 frame so Spesh has changed it a lot since then. I'm not really a fan of the newer models either. Personally I would go for the alum over the cromo because of weight. The P2 is the kind of bike that you need to upgrade (wheels, brakes, fork being the big ones). Other than that its a great bike, has amazing geo and wil last you for a long time. I love mine so I'm not gonna tell you no. : ]
